Biography
Black is one of the funniest people I have ever seen. He has been in many movies such as Saving Silverman, Orange County, and Shallow Hal. He is also a great musicion in his band Tenacious D, he is the lead singer and you can learn more about that at the Music Page. High Fidelity was probably the movie that gave him the biggest break. He was in Cable Guy but no one ever remembers that. He hosted the 2002 MTV Movie Awards with Sarah Micheal Geeler and he did a voice for the movie Ice Age. His next movie coming out in 2003 is Envy.

Fired from his band, rock guitarist and vocalist Dewey Finn (Black) takes a job as a 4th grade substitute teacher at an uptight private school where his free livin' lifestyle, attitude, music and antics soon influences the students to explore other sides of themselves the school doesn't encourage. Finn's real goal in taking the job is to recruit a 9-year-old guitar prodigy, Yuki, to become the lead guitarist in a band that would be able to win a "battle of bands", solving Finn's money problems and re-establishing him as a respected rocker. (Maybe since there is a lot to do with music Kyle Gass, Jack Black's partner in Tenacious D, will be in the movie.)
