Super Secret TV Formulas
Super Secret TV Formulas is a new VH1 series celebrating the TV cliches that have had us talking back to our sets for decades.

Its about the cute little kid who magically appears when the other kids on a show have lost their cuteness. The very special episode. The curse of the evil twin. The characters who sure acted gay, but couldnt be gay. The revelation after a season of plot twists that, thank god, it was all just a dream.

Super Secret TV Formulas looks back at the formula and folly of TV, the kinds of shows, episodes, characters and devices that TV execs returned to over and over. Its a mixture of clips and commentary from comics, actors, critics and TV insiders. A full-blown analysis/celebration of the important questions raised by TV: Was Scrappy Doo a NARC? Can a car have an evil twin? And why doesnt television have more singing cops?

Some Super Secret segments . . .

The Evil Twin

Lets Get It On Already
The shows that functioned as years and years of foreplay, based on the delicious sexual tension between two main characters. But the longer it went on, the more we said, Will you just have sex and get it over with!?! Moonlighting, Frasier, Remington Steele, more.

I Love the 90s

He said he can't wait to talk about "O.J., grunge, and Titanic." So, I guess it's official..."I Love the 90's" is on its way later this year!!

He also said he hopes VH1 will do a sequel to "I Love the 70's" but he doesn't know anything about that yet.

SlamBall
Airs:
Monday at 10:00 PM on Spike TV

Rules: The game is 4-on-4 basketball with hockey-style contact allowed in the open floor and behind the baskets. The game is played in two 8-minute halves with a 15-second shot clock. Slam dunks (with one or both hands touching the padded rim) and shot from outside the trampolines (4 under each basket) are worth 3 points. All other shots are worth 2 points. One player per team is allowed in any trampoline or the "island" in the center of each trampoline area. Players can pass in the "island" and must vacate it within 3 seconds. Players cannot do any of the following:

-Make contact with other players going into the trampolines -Make contact with players in the "island" -Make contact with players before they dribble the ball. -Hang on rim to goaltend (opponents get 2 or 3 points, depending on the shot) -Grab, hold, or trip opponent. -Be on offense and prevent an offensive bounce. -Drift forward to block a shot.

Goaltending without hanging on rims is legal on shots from trampolines. There are face-offs (fouled vs fouler on one shot, with offense retaining possession of the ball afterward) for each called foul. A player is ejected from the game after racking up 3 fouls.

Rule changes for season 2:Dunks(touching rim) are the only 3 point shots. All others worth 2, except for the final 2 minutes of the game. The shot clock now starts when the ball crosses the halfcourt line. No undercutting players in the tramps. Players with the ball can't go from tramp-to-tramp unless they're not contested. Games played in four 6-minute quarters.

The 6 teams played a four-day (aired over four weeks) regular season. The top 4 teams played the semi-final games in day (week) five and the winner went on to day (week) six's title game(with two 10-minute halves and four fouls equalling a foul-out).

Other Information: "SlamBall" debuted on TNN on August 3, 2002 and will go into its second season in 2003. The game is considered a hybrid of different sports (mainly basketball) that is very exciting to watch. The game was created by Mason Gordon, a self-professed "gym rat" and Mike Tollin, co-producer of many recent and current TV shows ("Amanda Show", "All That", etc.) Gordon apparently drew the first SlamBall court on a napkin. Brian Robbins ("Head Of The Class", kids' version of "Pictionary") and Joe Davola serve as producers. Season 2 Of SlamBall is here - the SlamBall Season 2 Draft was held on March 10, 2003. Former NBA All-Star, and father of Kobe Bryant, Joe Bryant will take over coaching duties for the Diabols for Mark Elis. Pre-game/halftime/post-game studio reports and "Flomotion" photos have been added for the second season.

Teams in season 1 (with main uniform colors):
Mob (black and red)
Steal (gold and black)
Bouncers (orange and black)
Slashers (marroon and blue)
Diablos (blue and silver)
