Last Comic Standing

This is a new reality show hosted by Jay Mohr on NBC. On this show 20 comics are narrowed down to 10 and the 10 comics live in a house together until only one remains. They are competing for the ultimate prize-an exclusive talent contract with NBC. Every week the contestants must vote for the perosn they think they are funnier than and whoever gets the most votes must compete against one person that voted for them and whoever is funnier gets to stay. And the contestants get a chance to be excempt from the voting by winning certain stuff. Okay Ralphie May did not win, but he did come in second. He had 28% of the votes and Dat Phan, the winner, had 35%. Nobody liked Dat Phane and I don't know how he won, but everyone in the hourse hated him and so did I.

Street Ball: The And1 Mix Tape Tour

Airs: Tuesday 7:30 pm & Friday 7:00 pm on ESPN 2

The Mix Tape series and the tour it spawned are the result of a collection of random events that, taken separately, wouldn't have amounted to much-and almost didn't. But accidents happen, and those that produce positive results are given the gloss of serendipity. Thank God for it.

The origin of the AND 1 Mix Tape collection came in the guise of a lowly videotape given to AND 1 in late 1998 by Ron Naclerio, the coach of New York's Cardoza High School team who spent his summers coaching AAU kids, including Rafer Alston, whom AND 1 would soon signthe first basketball shoe endorser to get a deal without a contract from the NBA. The tape was home-video quality--jerky camera moves, poor resolution and nearly indecipherable audio-showing young Alston on the playgrounds and hardwood in and around New York doing, among a host of insane moves, his own signature move from which he earned his nickname "Skip to My Lou."

The Apprentice

In a bold new reality series that tests competitors' survival techniques in New York City's corporate jungle, NBC and executive producer Mark Burnett ("Survivor") will team up for "The Apprentice," a 15-episode series in which candidates vie for the chance to become an "apprentice" to a "master." During the first season of "The Apprentice," legendary business tycoon Donald Trump will serve as the "master" and his business empire, The Trump Organization, will be the hub of the competition.

The Apprentice 2 coming soon

NBCs smash hit reality show, The Apprentice will return for a second season, it was announced today by Jeff Zucker, NBC Entertainment President. Donald Trump will once again be The Master and will executive produce along with reality genius Mark Burnett. Sixteen new contestants will be recruited for the competition which will film in and around Manhattan with all new challenges, twists and surprises. A fall premiere is expected.

The Apprentice is a red-hot breakout hit for NBC and it has delivered some of the best ratings of any new show in NBC history, said Zucker. Donald Trump and
Mark Burnett are the most potent force in television today and Im thrilled to say that The Apprentice will have an appointment on NBC for many years to come.

Its been a great honor working with NBC and Mark Burnett, said Donald Trump. We always knew that The Apprentice was an original and smart alternative to other reality shows. Incredible ratings were just an added bonus. I cant wait to get back in the boardroom for season two.

With The Apprentice we tried something quite different and Im so happy that it is such a huge success, said Mark Burnett, Executive Producer. I attribute this to the incredible television presence of Donald Trump and the smartest, most intriguing cast
I have ever put together for a reality show. In the upcoming season, we promise more great characters, tougher tasks and longer, more intense boardroom showdowns.

In its first three telecasts on Thursday nights, "The Apprentice" has averaged a 9.4 rating, 23 share among adults 18-49 and 19.1 million viewers overall, making it televisions #3 series in 18-49 and #6 series in total viewers through 19 weeks of the 2002-03 season. With its Jan. 29 telecast, "The Apprentice" delivered NBC's highest regular-program 18-49 rating in the Thursday 9-10 p.m. hour in 15 months and generated a 48 percent jump over the network's season-to-date average.

The Joe Schmo Show

Matt Kennedy Gould signed up for what he thought was a reality show called Lap of Luxury. This program has all the trappings of a reality show, from challenges such as "Pampering Competitions" (reward challenges) to an "eviction ceremony" and reality-show stereotypes such as "The Grizzled Veteran" and "The Gay Guy." It's set in a luxurious mansion and seems like it should be a great time, but there's something important that Matt doesn't know... he's the only real competitor and the others are all paid actors striving to make him crazy. The prize is $100,000, but can Matt, or rather "Joe Schmo," survive long enough to cash in without losing his mind?

Joe Schmo Season 2

Wonderful news for all The Joe Schmo Show fans: Stone Stanley Entertainment has received an order for a second season of the show. No word yet on when the new season might premiere, or what the new "twist," if any, will be, but the order is for ten episodes of the series.

  • Matt Kennedy Gould

Host:

  • Ralph Garman

Scare Tactics

Does Shannen Doherty scare you? Fridays on Sci Fi she'll try her best to scare the living daylights out of you as host of Scare Tactics the new series from the Sci Fi Channel and the producers of the hidden camera show
Spy TV. The series puts a new spin on the hidden camera idea by featuring pranks inspired by science-fiction and horror films. Such pranks will feature "victims" in situations involving haunted houses, alien abductions and more. As an added twist Doherty herself not only hosts but also takes part in many of the show's pranks.

For those who think the pranks may be too mean-spirited the producers assure that the show's staff creates detailed bios on each person to ensure that they can handle the kind of situations in which they might be placed. "That's very important to note," producer Kevin Healey says of the selection process. "We're not just playing these wacky, crazy jokes on people who are unsuspecting. We work very hard with friends and family members to make sure that the joke's appropriate for them, that they'll get a kick out of it, all that kind of stuff. That they don't have any health problems."

That's one thing that the critics of the show fail to notice. They seem to disregard the friends and family members (who actually have a big hand in setting up the pranks) and would rather assume that the "victims" are merely random innocent people suckered in by the show's "cruel" producers. Which is not true.

Scare Tactics began with a one-hour premiere, showing two original episodes back-to-back on April 4, 2003. Original episodes air Fridays at 10:00 p.m. followed by a repeat of the prior week's episode at 10:30 p.m. Then catch reruns of those two episodes later that night at 12:00 a.m. and 12:30 a.m. And remember, Laugh it up. You could be next.

Jamie Kennedy Experiment

In this half-hour series, affectionately nicknamed JKX, actor/comedian
Jamie Kennedy combines hidden-camera pranks with sketch comedy to see how everyday people--and some celebrities--behave in unusual situations. Jamie appears in a wide variety of disguises, getting his "marks" involved in an equally wide variety of bizarre predicaments. When a joke has run its course, Jamie delivers the show's immortal tag line: YOU'VE BEEN X-ED! Each skit is presented in front of an audience, either in-studio or on location, and sometimes Jamie brings his marks on as special guests after presenting a segment.

JKX is now in its third season and can be seen every Thursday night at 8:30 PM on the WB. For every episode from the first two seasons, I have filled in all the basic info: writers, directors, guest stars, and a synopsis. I will add more info as time goes on, and yes, I'm behind on reviews. They will trickle in as well. Entries for new episodes will normally be filled in on the Friday, Saturday, or Sunday following the original airdate. I will also post ratings info for new episodes.

Host/Star:
  • Jamie Kennedy

Real World vs. Road Rules: The Inferno

In the heat of Acapulco, Mexico, all-star teams of The Real World and Road Rules cast members battle each other for over $300,000 dollars worth of cash and prizes. In a game where even their own teammates can stab them in the back, they'll have to fight and scheme to avoid being eliminated in the dreaded INFERNO, a head-to-head battle that will test their minds, bodies, and spirits. Things heat up as 20 veterans of The Real World and Road Rules hit the sandy shores of Acapulco, Mexico for the next Challenge. BMX badass Dave Mirra hosts what promises to be the most exciting Challenge ever. From an adrenaline-fueled 13th floor rope climb to a gross-out worm munching competition, the players will be pushed beyond their physical and mental limits in 16 different challenges that will ultimately determine which team reigns supreme. If bragging rights aren't enough incentive to win, there's always the boatload of prize money. Each challenge is worth $10,000 and the winning team will have the money deposited into their team bank account. The final challenge is worth a whopping $150,000. That's $300,000 in cash on the line. Players will have to take out the competition on both sides if they want to stick around long enough to win and that means staying out of the line of fire--the dreaded "Inferno." Here's how it works. After the first challenge, the teams meet separately to decide which two players from their own team will be nominated to go into the "Inferno." In a new twist, the opposite team will have the opportunity to choose which one out of the two nominees they want to see face off in the "Inferno." Will they try to take out the team leader or will they go for the weak link? Strategies and backstabbing are bound to occur, but it's not that cut and dry. Unlike the "Gauntlet," the elected "Inferno" representatives will stick around for another round of competition. The game will heat up if one of the "Inferno" nominees nabs the Aztec Lifesaver in this second competition, which will save them from the wrath of the "Inferno." The "Inferno" nominee who has been saved can then choose a new team member to throw into the Inferno. After the second challenge, the two representatives from each team must face off in the "Inferno," a head to head competition designed to test the limits of human endurance. With games ranging from wearing a helmet full of bugs to being covered in itching powder then walking on a treadmill, the "Inferno" is sure to test even the toughest of competitors. If a player loses the "Inferno," they are sent home with no money and a bruised ego. If they win, they must return to the team that sent them to be eliminated. Can you say, "resentment?" Teams will strategize to sacrifice the weak and keep the strong, sparing no feelings in the quest for the ultimate prize. Champions will fall and longs shots will prevail. If the thrill of competition isn't enough, there will be cuddling, bickering, betrayal and bitterness. Old relationships end hard, as new ones begin. Old rivals square off in pull no punch arguments. The Inferno is a head-to-head battle that will test minds, bodies, and spirits. Get ready for a dirt-flying, back-stabbing, knock-down, drag-out Real World/Road Rules Challenge.

Among his most famous is putting a cow head in his parent's bed, suckling a cow's udder, throwing plastic babies onto cars... just to name a few. There is going to be another season of Celebrity Mole, but in a different location and with some different celebrities. Ahmad Rashad will once again be the host. And returning from Celebrity Mole Hawaii is Stephen Baldwin and Corbin Bernsen who hope to avenge their early executions (see why I said some earlier). Jackass

Back in 1999,Johnny Knoxville was an editor for the Big brother magazine, and one day he came up with the idea of doing a self defence experiment, where he would go through three different types of agonising pain.
The readers of the big brother magazine loved it and wanted more.
So Jeff Tremaine visited Network companys looking for a home for Jackass, they were sent away by nearly everyone they met until Spike Jonze heard about their idea and hooked them up with Mtv, and this was how Mtv Jackass begun.

The show wss one of Mtv's highest rated shows and has started a craze of people walking around their local streets with cameras and causing havoc. It also spawned not one but two spin-offs, Viva La Bam and Wild Boyz.

My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiancé

The six episode program, whose high-level concept can probably best be described as "What If Joe Schmo Got Married?", features what FOX terms "the ultimate practical joke" being sprung on an unsuspecting would-be reality show contestant.

The contestant, Randi, a 23-year-old first grade teacher from Scottsdale, Arizona who believes she is participating in a reality show in which she and her fake fellow contestant "fiancé" must convince their families that they became engaged on another fake as-of-yet unbroadcast reality show. If they can convince everyone of the legitimacy of their engagement and make it through the engagement party, the wedding planner visits, the best friends and family introductions, the bridal shower, the rehearsal dinner and actually the walk down the aisle without anyone discovering the truth, she wins $1,000,000.

The catch is that unbeknownst to Randi, "Steve," the other reality contestant who is pretending to be her fiancé, is actually a paid actor, as are all his friends and family. And the big fat obnoxious "Prince-not-so-Charming" and his fellow actors will test the limits of Randi's family and friends with their shocking behavior.
