The bad news? Ray's meddling parents, Frank (Peter Boyle) and Marie (Doris Roberts), live directly across the street and embrace the motto "Su casa es mi casa," infiltrating their son's home to an extent unparalleled in television history. Frank's favorite expression, "holy crap," is shouted at regular intervals, and Marie's "cooking advice" is less than appreciated by Debra. Brother Robert (Brad Garrett), a divorced policeman, is constantly moving in and out of his parents' house, and loves to drop over and resent Ray's successful career and happy family life. Ray and Debra just wish someone would knock once in a while.

Raymond is returning for a ninth season! The news was announced by CBS.

CBS President Leslie Moonves said "Everybody Loves Raymond," will return next season and after that he is discussing a spinoff. CBS has talked about a potential spinoff involving Brad Garrett, who plays Romano's brother in the series, but Moonves said no decision will be made until "Raymond" ends.

Monk
Season 3 Premiers June 2004

Premise:
Adrian
Monk (Tony Shalhoub
) was once a rising star with the San Francisco Police Department, legendary for using unconventional means to solve the department's most baffling cases. But after the tragic (and still unsolved) murder of his wife, the devastated Monk became obsessive-compulsive. His psychological disorder has caused him to develop an abnormal fear of virtually everything: germs, heights, crowds... even milk. His condition eventually cost him his job, and continues to pose unique challenges in his daily life.

Monk's personal nurse,
Sharona Fleming (Bitty Schram
) is there to help Monk make it through the day, offering her assistance when even the simplest of tasks (like organizing his sock drawer) become an angst-ridden ordeal for Monk. Along the way, she also becomes Monk's own "Girl Friday," an unlikely Dr. Watson to his Sherlock Holmes.

Now working as a private consultant, Monk continues to investigate cases in the most unconventional ways. Although Monk is no longer a member of the police force, his former boss,
Captain Leland Stottlemeyer (Ted Levine) still often calls upon him to provide unique insights into cases that have the cops stumped. Stottlemeyer himself is a highly decorated detective, but he knows he will never be as good as the illustrious Monk... and it drives him crazy. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Randall Disher (Jason Gray-Stanford
) aspires to be the department's new go-to guy, and relishes every opportunity to bolster the ego of his commanding officer.

Monk is a detective afraid of the dark, a gumshoe afraid of gum. He has no problem cracking a case - as long as it doesn't involve heights or germs, and is in close proximity to his apartment. He'd like nothing more than to gain back his position on the San Francisco police force, but can he pull himself together and get back to solving crimes full time?

Cast:
Tony Shalhoub - Adrian Monk
Bitty Schram - Sharona Fleming
Ted Levine - Captain Leland Stottlemeyer

The story of a middle-class family comprised of four squabbling brothers and their parents, who are just trying to "hold on until the last one turns eighteen."

Created and executive produced by Linwood Boomer (3rd Rock From The Sun), this inventive family comedy is seen through the eyes of Malcolm (Frankie Muniz), a normal kid who is perfectly content skateboarding, roughhousing with his brothers and avoiding the school bully. He has even managed to accept--okay, ignore--his parents' penchant for running around the house in the nude. But Malcolm's world is suddenly turned upside down when it's discovered he has a genius IQ. He is forced into the "gifted" class, where he finds himself surrounded by a group of exceptionally bright social misfits.

Hal (Bryan Cranston) and Lois (Jane Kaczmarek) don't have the best-kept lawn, the cleanest house or the most refined children on the block. But despite being overwhelmed by the daily chaos, at the end of the day Malcolm and his brothers know they are loved. Malcolm's oldest--and favorite--brother is Francis (Christopher Kennedy Masterson), who has been sent away to military camp as a disciplinary measure. With Francis gone, Malcolm is left in the middle between the next oldest sibling, Reese (Justin Berfield)--a kid whose fists "work exactly twice as fast as his brain"--and Dewey (Erik Per Sullivan), the youngest, who is "trapped somewhere between toddler and hamster."

Now that the show has been on for awhile Francis has left military school and now works at a ranch owned by a strange married couple and he is married. And there is also a new member added to the family because Malcome's parents had another baby.

Oliver Beene

Airs: Sunday 7:30 PM on Fox

Premise: This half-hour comedy follows the life of 11-year-old Oliver Beene. It's 1962 and Oliver's world is chaotic. His dentist father, Jerry likes to spend Sundays drilling his kids' teeth; his mom, Charlotte does her best to be the happy homemaker; and his brother Ted has a transistor radio practically glued to his head listening to sports. Oliver's life is tolerable thanks to his friends heavyweight Neal and lightweight Michael, who is obviously gay in a time when that still means happy. The show is narrated by the adult Oliver who depicts the trials of growing up during the Cold War with a wickedly wry humor. Oliver longs for normalcy, something that's difficult when the family is practicing drills for the end of civilization. Oliver also has to contend with Mrs. Heller, a teacher who hates him; Joyce, a classmate who thinks she's married to him; and Bonnie, the red-haired girl who's out of his league. Flashbacks and flash-forwards vividly re-create the Kennedy-era '60s in this fast-paced comedy.

When he marries Susan (Kiele Sanchez, That Was Then), a woman raised in the Mid-West by a large family, they move to Kansas to be closer to them and he has to quickly adjust to life with a big, caring family.

When Tom married Susan he thought he was only getting a new wife. He never even considered that he would be getting a brand new family as well. Included in this new family are mother Sandy, the rule-maker of the house, and father Bill, once an only child himself he could be the one person Tom could relate to the most. There's also Susan's competetive sister Mary and her husband Chris, who considers himself Bill and Sandy's favorite son-in-law and finds Tom as somewhat of a threat. Life With Bonnie
Airs: Friday 9:30 PM on ABC

Premise:

Bonnie Hunt brings the same accessibility she brought to the films Jerry Maguire, Jumanji and Return to Me to her family series Life with Bonnie, in which she portrays Bonnie Molloy, a woman who juggles the roles of wife, mother and host of the local morning talk show Morning Chicago.

In the series, Hunt's improvisational skills shine during unscripted interviews with real life guests (non-actors) of "Morning Chicago." The cast includes the gifted David Alan Grier as David Bellows, the producer who struggles with the daily challenge of Bonnie, makeup artist Holly and cue card guy Marv. Anthony Russell portrays Tony Russo, Bonnie's sidekick piano player who comes straight to her show from his Vegas lounge act.

At home, Gloria is a houseguest more than a housekeeper. Bonnie's husband, Mark, is a hard-working family practice doctor who does his best to survive life with Bonnie. Curb Your Enthusiasm
Airs: Sunday 9:30 pm on HBO

Premise:
Each half-hour episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm features verité-style footage of David (playing himself) at home, at work and around town, as he gets into predicaments with fictional and real-life personalities. With cast regulars Jeff Garlin (as manager Jeff Greene) and Cheryl Hines (as wife Cheryl) reprising their roles, the series features appearances by guest celebrities playing themselves or character roles; September's guests include Ted Danson, Michael York, Joan Rivers, Richard Lewis and others.

Candid, unsparing and self-deprecating, Curb Your Enthusiasm brings the off-kilter comic vision of Larry David--co-creator and co-executive producer of one of the most lauded comedy series in TV history, Seinfeld--to HBO. The series blurs the lines between reality and fiction, as David (playing himself) and a cast of real and fictional characters are followed around Los Angeles by a ubiquitous camera that chronicles the private, often banal world of a (somewhat) public man.

Having evolved from the 1999 HBO special Larry David: Curb Your Enthusiasm, this series proves how seemingly trivial details of one's day-to-day life--a trip to the movies, a phone call, a visit from some trick-or-treaters--can precipitate a "Murphy's Law" chain of misfortune to hilarious effect. Like George Costanza in Seinfeld (a character based on David), the protagonist of Curb Your Enthusiasm has a knack for getting himself into uncomfortable situations that end up alienating him from peers and acquaintances.

To keep the narrative fresh and spontaneous, Curb Your Enthusiasm is shot without a script; the cast is given scene outlines and often improvise lines as they go. The result is an unpredictable format that's unlike anything else on TV.

Cast:
Larry David - Himself
Jeff Garlin - Jeff Greene
Cheryl Hines - Cheryl David

Johnson (Wendy McLendon-Covey) is a former topless showgirl who is happy that she happens to be the hottest woman in the department (she still wears her police uniform half unbuttoned.) This includes Deputy Raineesha Williams (Niecy Nash), a tough black woman who joined the department because she gets to slap men around. It also includes Deputy Trudy Wiegel (Kerri Kenney), who has some mental problems, and seems to be rather racist as well (I think she is a little delusional, because she thinks she is having an affair with Lt. Dangle.) She accuses Deputy James Garcia (Carlos Alazraqui) of being a racist Mexican, which he isn't, because he seems to hate everyone equally. Deputy S. Jones (Cedric Yarbrough) is a tall black man who is having a secret affair with Johnson and a not-so-secret affair with Williams. Deputy Travis Junior (Ben Garant) trains the German police dogs, but he only knows French commands. Still Standing
Airs:
Monday 8:30 PM on CBS

Premise:
Bill and Judy Miller are a blue-collar Chicago couple. As parents who came of age in the 70s, they raise their three children more by the seats of their pants than by the book, trying to do things a bit differently with theirs than their parents did with them (yeah, right), trying to be cool parents (good luck). But now they have a daughter who wants a belly-button ring and a son they can't pry away from his computer long enough for him to raise a little hell and enjoy his youth. Thank God for the youngest, six-year-old Tina, who still worships them both.

The Millers balance the responsibilities of parenthood with wanting to have a good time and trying not to forget that they were once considered cool. STILL STANDING is a comedy about a couple who are just that after 15 years of ups and downs, thanks to their unbridled affection for each other and thanks, of course, to rock music. That's still cool, isn't it?

Soleil Borda - Tina Miller
Renee Olstead - Lauren Miller
Jennifer Irwin - Linda

According to Jim
Airs:
Tuesday 9:00 PM on ABC

Premise:

Jim is a regular suburban father. He's married to a gorgeous woman, Cheryl, and raises his three kids Gracie, Ruby and the newborn Kyle - in a big house. Everything is perfect for Jim, if it wasn't the messy situations he gets himself into and his laziness, which often makes him search for alternative ways of doing things with less effort. Of course, having his wife's siblings hanging out at his house all the time is no help. While Andy might be one of his best friends, Dana often teams up with Cheryl against Jim. But as long as they're family, it's all good.

According to Jim premiered silently on October 2001; following surprise hit comedy My Wife and Kids. The show quickly developed an audience of its own and for its sophomore season ABC placed it on its revitalized Tuesday line-up, which also included John Ritter's 8 Simple Rules, Bonnie Hunt's Life with Bonnie and Less Than Perfect. Week by week, the show attracted more and more viewers; becoming ABC's second most watched sitcom. The show performed so well that the network made a risky move: put Jim opposite NBC juggernaut Frasier. Although Jim didn't beat the competition, it performed well enough to secure itself that spot on the 2003 fall schedule.

Cast:
Jim Belushi - Jim
Courtney Thorne-Smith - Cheryl
Larry Joe Campbell - Andy
Kimberly Williams - Dana

Taylor Atelian - Ruby
Billi Bruno - Gracie
