The Canadian band's Monkees-like exploits on a home-brewed video helped land them a major-label deal and now their smashmouth single, "Fat Lip," is swelling up south of the border. They came up with their name after forming 41 days into summer, and Jonathan Klein found out that now it's all about hanging with DMX, scamming free dinners and being in a band that doesn't, like, suck.
