Biography
Blessed with a smirk that will undoubtedly guarantee him countless roles similar to his breakout performance as snarky jock Steve Stifler in 1999's American Pie, Seann William Scott has quickly become one of the most prolific teen comedy stars of his generation. Scott was born July 12, 1977, in Cottage Grove, MN, where he spent most of his youth wanting to be an actor. After completing high school early, Scott traded Minnesota for Los Angeles, securing a role in the televised version of Random House's popular Sweet Valley High romance novels. One more short-lived television series and an Aerosmith video later, Scott took on the role of Stifler and helped usher in the teen sex comedy's resurgence of the late '90s. He continued down this path with three more successful teen-movie offerings -- (Final Destination, Road Trip, and Dude, Where's My Car?, all released in 2000 -- where he essentially played variations on the same character. More of the same was expected when Scott reprised his role in American Pie 2 for the summer of 2001. But 2001 also found Scott taking roles that would require him to stretch beyond the dumb-jock mode that has brought him fame; he appeared in Kevin Smith's Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, as well as Ivan Reitman's alien comedy Evolution with Julianne Moore, David Duchovny, and Orlando Jones. Then he moved into actoin when he starred in the movie Bulletproof Monk. After that he went back to his roots with American Wedding, the third and final American Pie movie.

Bulletproof Monk Cast: Chow Yun-Fat (The Bulletproof Monk), Seann William Scott (Kar), Jaime King (Bad Girl), Mako, Marcus Jean Pirae, Karel Roden (Strucker), Victoria Smurfit (Nina); other cast not announced yet. Premise: Set in San Francisco, this is the story of a mysterious immortal Tibetan kung fu master (Yun-Fat), who has spent the last 60 years traveling around the world protecting an ancient scroll, who is now mentoring a street kid (Scott) in the wonders of his ancient ways... (King plays a "Russian mob princess"; Roden plays an evil kung fu master who is seeking the scroll; Pirae plays the leader of a gang that helps the monk and his student).
Here's how the official site puts it:
"For many years, a mysterious monk with no name (Yun-Fat) has zigzagged the globe to protect an ancient scroll - the Scroll of the Ultimate - which holds the key to unlimited power. Now the monk must find a protege, the scroll's next guardian. Kar (Scott) is an unlikely candidate, a streetwise young man whose only interest is himself. But when he saves the Bulletproof Monk from capture, the two become partners in a scheme to save the world from the scroll's most avid pursuer. Together with the help of a sexy and elusive young woman named Bad Girl (King), they seek out and face the ultimate enemy in a spectacular final battle."
American Wedding Cast: Jason Biggs (Jim Levinstein), Alyson Hannigan (Michelle Flaherty), Jennifer Coolidge (Stifler's Mom), January Jones (Cadence Flaherty), Eugene Levy (Jim's Dad), Thomas Ian Nicholas (Kevin Myers), Seann William Scott (Steve Stifler), Eddie Kaye Thomas (Paul Finch), Fred Willard, Molly Cheek (Jim's Mom), John Cho (John), Patrick Gallo (Randy the Dress Salesman), Justin Isfeld (Justin), Eric Allan Kramer (Bear), Angela Paton (Grandma), Deborah Rush (Mary Flaherty), Nikki Scheiler-Ziering (Krystal), Amanda Swisten (Fraulein Brandi) Premise: The group of best friends from their days back at East Great Falls High reunite for the next great sexual adventure in their lives... the wedding of Jim (Biggs) and Michelle (Hannigan), where Stifler (Scott) finds himself falling for Michelle's "knockout" sister, Cadence (Jones). If there's a wedding, we can bet that Stifler will be instrumental in orchestrating the correlating social event... the bachelor party. The event is rushed because Jim's grandmother is possibly terminally ill, so the heat is on to plan the wedding in just two weeks. (Kramer plays an extremely large man named "Bull" that the boys meet when they accidentally end up in a gay bar.)
Here's how the official site puts it:
"With East Great Falls High now just a memory, the kids have grown into young adults ready to wreak havoc with a new rite of passage - Jim (Biggs) and Michelle (Hannigan) are getting married - in a hurry. Jim's grandmother is sick and wants to see Jim walk down the aisle, so they're going for it in two frantic weeks. Stifler (Scott) plans to be there (bridesmaids!), and more importantly to throw the ultimate bachelor party (strippers!). Finch (Thomas) is all for the hedonistic rituals, but not for letting Stifler steal the maid of honor, who happens to be Michelle's sexy younger sister, Cadence (Jones). While everybody else sweats and frets, Jim's Dad (Levy) is cool as ever, dispensing advice that no one wants to hear and getting ready for one of the best days of his life."
The Rundown Cast: Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (Beck), Seann William Scott (Travis), Rosario Dawson (Carmen), Christopher Walken (Bloomocks), Ewen Bremner (Declan), Jon Gries (Harvey), Corey Large (Danny), Ernie Reyes Jr., Arnold Schwarzenegger (cameo) Premise: Attempting to settle a debt, a bounty hunter (The Rock) takes on an assignment that sends him deep into the Amazon jungle to a town called Helldorado to capture and bring back an "escaped convict" (Scott). What he discovers, however, is that his quarry is not the toughened criminal he had been warned about, but is instead a young guy from a prominent family looking for gold in the jungle, and together, they team up on a treasure hunt for a long-lost mine filled with riches, which brings them in conflict with the town's evil kingpin, Bloomocks (Walken). (Dawson plays a pilot; Gries plays Bloomocks' younger brother.)
