Rules

Points
You get points when you get the ball through the rim.

Free Throw
When fouled you go to the free throw line and shot either one basket or two. Each basket at the free throw line is worth one point.

2 pointer
Any shot taking within the 3-point line is worth 2 points.

3 Pointer
Any shot outside of the three-point line is worth 3 points.

Time

Quarters
There are four quarters and each quarter is 12 minutes. After the second quarter is half time and between the other quarters is just a small break.

Shot Clock
The offense gets 24 seconds to shoot the ball, the clock reset whenever the ball hits the rim or if the other team gets the ball.

Time Outs
Each team gets some time outs; there are full time outs plus 20 second time outs.

Fouls
There are many different types of fouls and many different ways to get fouled or foul someone.

Personal Fouls
When you hit someones arm or hit him in anyway to mess of theyre shot while they are shooting. But you are allowed to hit the ball.
Usually results in a person shooting 2 free throws if they missed the shot or 1 free throw if they made the shot.

6 fouls get a player thrown out of the game and the must sit on the bench the rest of the game.

Offensive Fouls
This is when a person on defense charges a person on offense and knocks them over.
Usually result in the other team getting the ball and if the defense scored the point will not count.
6 fouls get a player thrown out of the game and the must sit on the bench the rest of the game.

Defensive Fouls
This is when a person stands under the basket and doesn't allow anyone to get near it.
Usually results in the team with the ball getting to take the ball out-of-bounds and the shot clock resets.
6 fouls get a player thrown out of the game and the must sit on the bench the rest of the game

Technical Fouls
When a player or coach argues with a referee or fights with other people, players, or coaches or taunt the other team.
Usually results in the opposite team getting to shot a free throw with no one else around.
2 technical fouls and a player will be kicked out of the game and sent to the locker room until the game is over.

Double Technical
When two players get into a fight.
Usually result in the two players getting technical fouls.

Flagrant Fouls
Unnecessary contact against an opponent.
After 2 flagrant fouls the offender will be subject to a fine not exceeding $35,000 and/or suspension by the Commissioner.
