Now you will be able to learn anything you want to know about Will Ferrell.

Biography

Ferrell is a former cast member of Saturday Night Live and probably one of the funniest. He did impressions of President George W. Bush and Janet Reno "It's Reno Time" sorry and he had many recurring characters such as the Spartan Cheerleader and Marty Culp the middle school music director. But my favorite would have to be the Roxbury guy. He stared in A Night at the Roxbury with Chris Kattan also a former SNL cast member and that is one of my favorite movies, which you can see towards the top of the page. He appeared in such movies as Austin Powers 1 and 2, The Ladies Man, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back all are good movies. Now you can hear his voice on the Cartoon Network show The Oblongs on during Adult Swim. Ferrell is married and lives in New York City and Los Angeles. His birthday is July 16.

Elf

Release Date: November 7th, 2003
Cast: Will Ferrell (Buddy the Elf), Ed Asner (Santa Claus), James Caan (Buddy's Father), Zooey Deschanel, Bob Newhart (Buddy's Adopted Elf Father), Mary Steenburgen, Peter Dinklage, Kyle Gass, Leon Redbone (voice of Leon the Snowman), Andy Richter, Amy Sedaris, Daniel Tay

Premise: Many years ago, a human child was adopted by one of Santa Claus (Asner)'s elves (Newhart) after the little boy accidentally ended up in one of Santa's bags of presents and got whisked away to the North Pole. Now fully grown as a very tall human man, Buddy (Ferrell), his distinctly non-elvishness regularly causes havoc in Santa's workshop, which inspires the jolly old elf to suggest that he travel out into the world of men, and try to find his biological father (Caan) and family back in New York City. Buddy is soon recruited to be a department store elf, where he befriends a coworker (Deschanel) whom he convinces to express herself through song, via his manchild charm. Taken in by his real dad, Buddy tries to fit in with the human world he doesn't understand, even as Santa Claus is troubled by the lack of Christmas spirit in the world today... can a manchild with a heart of happiness and joy inspire New Yorkers to help Santa?

Anchorman
Release Date:
July 9th, 2004
Cast: Will Ferrell (Ron Burgundy), Christina Applegate (Veronica Corningstone), Fred Armisen, Steve Carell (Brick Tamland), Kevin Corrigan (Paul Hauser), Chuck D, David Koechner (Champ Kind), Chris Parnell (Garth Holliday), Stephen Root (Vince Masters), Paul Rudd (Brian Fantana), Maya Rudolph (Deedra X), Vince Vaughn (Wes Mantooth), Fred Willard (Ed Harken), Dave Allen, Jack Black (cameo), Chad Everett (Jess Moondragon), Kathryn Hahn (Helen), Jay Johnston, Justin Long (Chris Harken), Tim Robbins (cameo), Ben Stiller (cameo), Tara Subkoff (Sandra), Paul F. Tompkins, Chris Williams (Rashad Harris)
Premise: Set in 1970s Portland, this is the story of local TV anchorman Ron Burgundy (Ferrell), god's gift to the ladies and the area's most respected reader of the teleprompter of the news fit to be known, who finds his position challenged by an ambitious female newscaster who, unlike Ron, actually knows something about journalism.

Here's how DreamWorks puts it:

"[Ron Burgundy (Ferrell) is] the top-rated anchorman in San Diego in the '70s. When feminism marches into the newsroom in the form of ambitious newswoman Veronica Corningstone (Applegate), Ron is willing to play along at first-as long as Veronica stays in her place, covering cat fashion shows, cooking, and other "female" interests. But when Veronica refuses to settle for being eye candy and steps behind the news desk, it's more than a battle between two perfectly coiffed anchor-persons...it's war."

Bewitched
Release Date:
 July 8th, 2005

Cast: Nicole Kidman (Samantha Stephens), Will Ferrell (Darrin Stephens), Shirley MacLaine (Endora) (in talks), Michael Caine (Maurice) (in talks); other cast not announced yet.

Premise: Samantha (Kidman) seemed like the perfect girl when Darrin Stephens (Carrey; in talks) married her; perfectly normal, too. What he discovers on their wedding night, however, is that Samantha had to keep a secret from him until then, a fairly dark secrect, which is that she is really a witch from a long lineage and extended family of witches. Witch law forbids them from marrying regular people, but Samantha loved Darrin so much that she went ahead and did it anyway. Now, Samantha and Darrin are faced with the challenge of settling down and having a "perfectly normal" life together, even as both Samantha's meddling mother, Endora, and her other relatives, as well as Samantha's own natural predilection to occasionally still use magic, get in their way...

I've received a tip from a reliable source that this film's premise may in fact *not* be as direct an adaptation of the original series as previously thought, and yet... it will be even more so in a way! Why? My tipster says the current script portrays Samantha as a witch from another magical world who comes to Earth to escape the bother of her family. Once here, she gets a job as an actress and lands a job on, of all things, a TV sitcom about a witch who falls in love with a mortal man, Darrin Stephens (who, of course, is also played by an actor). If this is indeed the direction Sony goes, this is going to be a TV-show-within-a-movie-based-on-nearly-that-very-same-TV-show! Wow, what a concept!

Curious George
Release Date: November 4th, 2005
Cast: Will Ferrell (The Man in the Yellow Hat); other voice cast not announced yet.
Based Upon: This movie is based upon the children's book character "Curious George" featured in a series of popular books by the husband-wife team of Margaret Rey and H.A. Rey. This project has been in development at Imagine Pictures for a long time, dating back at least as long ago as 1992 (and possibly way before then).
Premise: While visiting Africa, a man (Ferrell) who wears a yellow hat accidentally adopts a clumsy and mischievous (as well as curious!) chimpanzee named George, bringing him back to America to live with him. The Man in the Yellow Hat soon discovers that George, as adorable as he is *most* of the time, can be a real handful when the Man turns his back or leaves the house, as George's curiousity causes him to get into a series of predicaments and shenanigans!
